RISD Global Field Trips
Application and selection process
Enrollment processes vary by department. All students interested in applying to a RISD course with Global Field Trip component should attend the specific course info session held on campus when they will be required to sign up in in the Faculty’s selection list.
All course tuitions include shared accommodation, studio space, local transportation, field trips, tours, guides and lectures, museums and/or site visits fees, some group lunch/dinners, Health and Travel Insurance through GeoBlue. In specific cases, additional details (such as airfare, materials, additional meals, etc) might be included. Please review the specific course description.
Passport and visa
All participants must have a valid passport expiring at least six months after the final day of the course. Participants are responsible for maintaining their own legal status and applying for their Visa (if requested). Upon request, RISD Global will provide participants with a registration letter in support of their Visa process (Note: International students must set up an appointment with OISS and will receive the letter from OISS).
RISD reserves the right to cancel a course due to low enrollment. Final course confirmation will be sent to registered students by December 13th, 2017. Participants should not book airline tickets or make travel arrangements prior to the course confirmation. Any cost incurred in such situation is on the participant’s responsibility. In case of cancellation, all payments will be refunded in full.
